Linothele sp. 'Panama' (Panamanian Blue Funnel-web Spider)

This is quite an attractive funnel-web spider (Dipluridae) that has a comparatively stocky build, dark carapace and legs and a golden-brown abdomen with lighter spots and a darker pale medial stripe. Although it will make a funnel-web retreat, it also will make big sheet webs across the terrarium substrate. It is a fast and skittish species best left alone in a secure enclosure.
