Phormingochilus sp. 'Rufus' (Peach Earth Tiger)

This is a stunning Asian arboreal with peach to red hairs. Adult females are among the most beautiful tarantulas in the world. The legs are reddish and end in dark tibia and the leg hairs, especially on the femurs, are long and bright peach-orange. The entire body has a peach-red pubescence. The carapace is typical Phormingochilus - olive gold with pale chelicerae (“jaws”), and the abdomen is peach to pinkish brown with the dark tiger striping found in this genus. This species is one of the most desirable tarantulas in the hobby and in great demand.
