This large, impressive arboreal spider has always been a strong favorite with keepers and is an excellent choice for keepers new to keeping tree-dwelling tarantulas. Adults of this hairy, olive-green tarantula have chevron markings on their abdomen and bright orange stripes on their legs. It is an interesting species to keep, creating elaborate web retreats in the terrarium yet being less secretive than other Psalmopoeus. They grow fast and are easy to breed.
